Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Siraj Pro (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
Siraj Pro is an iOS application that displays prayer times, a Qibla compass, home-screen widgets, a Live Activity, the Quran verse of the day, and other devotional utilities. The App is provided by Syed Muhammad Aziz Ghaus ("we", "us", "our"). The App is licensed, not sold, to you.
2. Your licence
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use Siraj Pro on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated here by reference.
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as expressly permitted by law.
- Modify, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or distribute the App or any portion of it.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage the App, our servers, or any third party.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or subscription-enforcement features.
3. Subscriptions & in-app purchases
Siraj Pro offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("Siraj Pro") that unlock premium features such as Live Activity, additional widget themes, and the Prayer-time App Blocker.
3.1 Plans and pricing
- Monthly: US $9.99 per month, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Yearly: US $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
Prices outside the United States are set by Apple's regional pricing matrix and may differ slightly to reflect local taxes, currency, and App Store pricing tiers. The exact local price is shown in the App before you confirm any purchase.
3.2 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
3.3 Managing & cancelling
You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device. Uninstalling the App does not cancel an active subscription.
3.4 Free trials
If you start a free trial and do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the regular subscription price. Each Apple ID is eligible for a free trial only once per subscription product.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a Siraj Pro subscription, in accordance with Apple's auto-renewable subscription policies.
3.5 Refunds
All purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. Refund requests are governed by Apple's policies; please visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Accuracy of prayer times
Siraj Pro calculates prayer times using established astronomical algorithms (Muslim World League by default, with optional ISNA, Egyptian, Umm al-Qura, and Karachi methods) based on your device's location and clock. While we strive for accuracy, the displayed times are approximations. You remain responsible for verifying prayer times with your local mosque or religious authority, especially in edge cases such as high-latitude regions.
5. The Qibla compass
The Qibla compass relies on your device's magnetometer and GPS. Accuracy can be affected by nearby metal objects, electronic interference, or an uncalibrated sensor. The compass is a helpful aid, not a substitute for physical reference or local guidance.
6. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App will schedule local Adhan reminders on your device. We do not control delivery once iOS has accepted the schedule; missed notifications due to device state (e.g., Focus mode, low-power mode, restart) are outside our control.
7. App Blocker
The Prayer-time App Blocker uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls APIs to temporarily restrict access to apps you select around prayer windows. The restriction is lifted when you mark "I have prayed". You are responsible for choosing which apps to block, and you grant Siraj Pro permission to operate the Family Controls authorisation when you opt in to this feature.
8. User responsibilities
- Provide accurate location and time information so prayer times are correct.
- Use the App in a manner consistent with all applicable laws.
- Keep your device's operating system up to date so the App can function properly.
9. Intellectual property
All content in the App — including code, design, the theme system, illustrations, icons, and the "Siraj Pro" name — is owned by Syed Muhammad Aziz Ghaus or his licensors, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. SF Symbols are used under Apple's licence. Verse translations follow the Saheeh International edition.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF DATA. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SYED MUHAMMAD AZIZ GHAUS, NOR ANY OF HIS REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, OR CONTRACTORS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Apple as a third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Syed Muhammad Aziz Ghaus only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the App's purchase price (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the App. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or us. We may suspend or terminate your licence at any time if you breach these Terms. You may terminate by uninstalling the App and cancelling any active subscription as described in Section 3.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent not prohibited by applicable law, any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and failing that, through binding arbitration in your country of residence.
