Siraj Pro uses well-established astronomical algorithms based on your device's location and clock. By default we use the Muslim World League method, with optional ISNA, Egyptian General Authority, Umm al-Qura (Saudi Arabia), and University of Islamic Sciences Karachi methods. You can also pick your madhab (Shafi'i / Hanafi) which adjusts the Asr calculation.
Accurate prayer times depend on your exact position on Earth. Siraj Pro requests "while using" location permission so it can compute times for where you are. Your coordinates stay entirely on your device — we do not transmit them anywhere. If you prefer, you can deny the permission and pick a city manually.
A few things to check:
Compass accuracy depends on your device's magnetometer. To recalibrate, open the iOS Compass app and follow the on-screen calibration motion (figure-8 wave). Stay away from large metal objects, magnets, and laptops. Siraj Pro will gently tap your phone when you're correctly aligned.
Long-press an empty area of your iOS home screen until the icons jiggle, tap the + in the top-left, search for Siraj Pro, and choose Small, Medium or Large. Change the widget theme any time from More → Themes inside the app — the new look applies instantly.
Live Activity is a glanceable countdown to your next prayer that appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones. It updates automatically and goes away once the prayer time passes. Live Activity is a Siraj Pro premium feature.
The App Blocker uses Apple's official Screen Time / Family Controls framework to softly restrict the apps you select around prayer windows. The restriction is lifted the moment you tap "I have prayed". Because Siraj Pro uses Apple's framework, you must grant Screen Time permission on first use — we never see what you have on your device.
All subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Siraj Pro, then tap Cancel Subscription. Your premium features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
All payments are processed by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple as well. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe, find Siraj Pro in the list and request a refund. We're happy to write to Apple in support of your request — email us the date and we'll vouch for you.
Open Siraj Pro, go to More → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that originally purchased the subscription. If the issue persists, email us your receipt (Apple emails you one for every renewal) and we'll fix it.
Siraj Pro is currently designed for iPhone, and runs on iPad in iPhone compatibility mode. A native iPad layout and Apple Watch complications are on the roadmap.
We'd love to hear it. Email sirajproapp@gmail.com and include your iPhone model, iOS version, and a screenshot or description of what happened. Every message reaches us directly — there's no support team to route through.
